The most important word that I began to fully appreciate and understand in 2018 was “relationships”. During this year, I have watched some important, long-time relationships crumble and crash, much to my anguish. I’ve also watched other relationships grow, strengthen and blossom. The most important thing I have taken away is that good relationships require work by all parties in the relationship, not just one.
As I plan with anticipation for 2019, I’m asking you to do what I’m doing. Make a list of the 10 most important business relationships you have. What are you doing to grow and strengthen those relationships? Then make a list of the 10 most important personal relationships you have. What are you doing to grow, strengthen and provide encouragement in those relationships?
For each of those relationships you listed, take time to reflect on and pray over them. Think about the individuals involved and the highs and lows in that relationship in 2018. More importantly, think about the things you can do to be a better participant in that relationship in 2019.
